So, this completes the challenge for me and what a great time it was. TY Linda Coughlin of The Funkie Junkie Blog (find it here) for hosting, creating such inspirational tags and running such a awesome store the Funkie Junkie Boutique (find it here). It truly is my favorite online store for best prices, great stock and unbeatable customer service!
So here is the inspirational tag that Linda created for week #12
I really liked how Linda saved some of her leftover bits and pieces to complete her tag. So I also gathered up bits that were worked on but for one reason or another didn’t make it on other projects. The background is vintage music sheet from that was glued to cardstock and die cut with thinlit tag. Glued some TH Christmas ephemera down, applied collage medium crazing, let dry and then smooshed distress crayons in brushed pewter, tarnished brass and antique bronze into cracks. The merry christmas words were from the reverse stamp from seasonal reflections that had been stamped with black stazon on acetate. The 2 & 5 are from grungeboard set digits and punctuation. I would say there are at least 4 layers of products on these since I have tried to work them in on a few different projects.

Some cloth from my local dollar store was spritzed with THD spray in antique linen and remnant rub was used for happy holidays.
Thank you for following along with me and until next time, xo !
Beautiful great take on week #12. Love the vintage festive look and that touch of gold!

Oh, I do love this, Wendy! The vintage distressed ephemera, sheet music and 25 go so well with your rustic shabby touches of frayed fabric and twine. Just love your composition–you ran with Linda’s beautiful inspiration! Oh, what I wouldn’t give for a day of crafting with you! Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

This is fabulous, Wendy. Just wonderful layers and distressing. So much detail and techniques to look at. I especially love the round element and the 25. I’m sorry it’s taken me weeks to come by to see this up close. I’m so pleased that you played along with my challenge this year and hope to have you back again next year. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas!
Hugs,
Linda
