12 Tags of Christmas FJB Style #10

So the sun has finally come out here in Michigan for me to take some pictures of my latest participation tags.

I am participating in Linda Coughlin’s (owner of Funkie Junkie, my favorite online store) challenge ’12 Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Boutique Style’. You can find details here. Basically, Linda creates a tag each week and you create whatever inspires you from the tag, then you share on her blog. Easy~peasy. I have some completed already but they reside in one post that you can view here. That post has #2,#3,#4,#6 & #7. Be sure to look at #8 tag and #5 in their individual posts also.

So, I started out with inspiration from Linda’s tag #10 (find it here)

FJB #10 (2)

I followed her background once again using gesso, tinsel stencil and star print stamp only using Distress Oxide Ink in cracked pistachio. It felt a bit ‘cold and snowy’ so I recalled wanting to try a shaker piece and finally use the snowman from THSA Tattered Christmas CMS318. I followed Kath Stewart’s construction of the shaker card (can find it on allthatglitters blog).

For the ribbon I used THD spray in cracked pistachio, then used archival ink in Ruby (Dina Wakley signature color) with stamp from Bitty Grunge CMS089.

I love shaking it up because you never know where the glitz is going to land, lol.

So, once again, completely different from Linda’s inspirational piece but I guess that is what makes me, me.

Thank you for following along in this really fun and inspirational challenge. There are a few more weeks left and look forward to sharing those, also 😉

  2. LOVE this one, Wendy! The colors are fabulous – cracked pistachio and red – very very wonderful. The idea of the shaker ornament is wonderful and so is the the snowman image from the Tattered Christmas set. So happy that you shared this one with us for week #10.

    Hugs,
    Linda
